This program places professional authors as guest speakers, motivational speech day guests, or in the classroom to conduct writing workshops. This program provides students with access to a professional author, experienced in running workshops. Workshops aim to develop students' thinking, literacy and writing skills and boost enthusiasm for writing.

​

As a visiting author, Darcy will help students plan their writing, dive into the action, build characters we care about, set pace, structure their writing and edit their writing. Darcy can offer guidance on narrative writing, poetry, drama, playwriting, monologues, vignettes, crime, children’s books and more.
